TFTI_LA August 2017

Event’s like these are so much fun. Getting to see other photographers and interacting with them while taking photos of people who love to dress up is so much fun. I try to attend events like these as much as possible, and luckily, TFTI does them at least 2 times a month right now.

The event is usually after sundown so most images are shot at high ISO’s. Even though people take LED lights, my wide-angle lens isn’t bright enough to really take advantage of the lights. Most of them time they aren’t strong enough since they are LED’s. Makes me wonder in how many years will we have stronger LED lights.

I try to use the 50mm lens as much as possible but we are so close to the people that I’m pretty much just taking portrait shots and missing out on the whole ambience.

Reluctantly I use the wide angel lens and have to deal with the noise on pose. It’s a slow lens and the people tend to shift from one pose to the next real quick.

Besides that, it’s really fun just seeing everyone and knowing people around you enjoy photography just as much as I do.

The image came out ok. I’m not extremely happy with them but I’m still getting better at night photography. My friend tried her best too, but she’s more of a novice than I am.
