Texarkana

This town is a bit odd. As the name suggests, it’s a city that’s on the border of Texas and Arkansas. The city seems so big and small at the same time.  There's lots of empty roads with nothing but land between buildings. If you aren’t right in the center of the town, then it feels like you are being pushed to the edge of the woods.

As soon as the sun goes down, the city gets ridiculously dark. With street lights spread out farther than the usual, you have large patches of darkness in streets, roads and even in the center of town.

It seems like if the whole town goes to be by 8pm. Stores close really early so if you have a long day, your only option for dinner is whatever is at the gas station, if you find one open.

I found a part right at the edge. I wanted to take some night shots so I headed out as soon as the sun went down.

The first thing you come across is spiderwebs flying through the winds. A constant nonstop barrage of them. Anywhere I went in the park, there was a spiderweb waiting for my face to come in contact with it.

I only took a few photos before I got weirded out and drove back to the hotel where showered and threw my clothes in the washer.

This is defiantly a pass through city.
