I was super excited about this shoot. There I just something about a girl in a hat that I love. It reminds me of summer and happy times. Because of that, I based the whole shoot off the hat.

I felt like making the shoot more about earth tones. Even thought I could make the color really pop because of my flash, I tried to keep the colors tamed a bit.

Stephanie was happy with my direction of the shoot and she was extremely photogenic. I grabbed some close ups of her in the hat and then some full body shots.

I had to remind myself to take some photos of her without the hat because I would have done the whole shoot with her wearing her hat.

She has voluminous hair so the images without her hat came out just as amazing. I tried to make sure that her gigantic smile and her amazing hair were almost the focus of the photo. If I’m being honest, it was kind of hard to do otherwise.

Editing was super easy too. There was very little editing to do and just slight color adjustments.

This shoot was really fun and fast. I shoot it all with the 85mm lens. Even the full body shots. I was standing pretty far away from her but we made it work with hand gestures.
