PK And Her Family
This was a very impromptu shoot. I was asked to shoot at the last minute. The location and time had to be changed because daylight was running out fast.
I showed up at the park with a deadline of 30 minutes. After that, it would be way too dark to shoot. I knew I could shoot everything they needed with this amount of time so I wasn’t really stressed out about it. I've done shoots in less time so I knew this was possible if I set up properly and had everyones cooperation.
The main photos they needed were some individual portraits, a family photo and a few with PK and her Santa hat specifically for her father that passed away. So I had a checklist. This made it a lot easier since I knew exactly what I needed to shoot.
I set up my light and began to shoot. I had to explain my shots a bit and that took a few minutes from my shoot but I can talk about photography all day so I didn’t mind explaining the lighting a bit.
The family was super fun and easy to shoot. They were just happy that I was able to fill in and take the photos. I made sure to light everything as perfect as possible so I had very little editing to do and could turn over the photos by the next day. They had to print them and send them to family member before the holidays.
As soon as I took the final group photos, the sun fell below the horizon and I we called it a day. I started packing my gear up with the help of my sister and we said our good bye’s.
The photos all came out great just as I envisioned them from the start of the shoot. The flash inside the softbox made the light come out very pleasant and combined with the cold sunset, it made for a beautiful photos.
