Vero’s Fundraiser

There is probably nothing worse that having someone you love pass away. Sadly, the older you get, the more this happens to every one of us.

Vero was an amazing person. She was kind and generous to everyone she came across. She had so many friends that loved her. You’d be hard pressed to find someone say something bad about her.

When she told everyone she had cancer, we were all were sad but hopeful that she would overcome it. Sadly, she didn’t.

People from all walks of life gathered to help raise some money for her burial. They wanted to raise as much money as possible to give her a great burial. So we put in some work to make this happen.

There were a few different groups having car washes throughout the city but by 4pm, they all ended up gathering in the same location we were at. Everyone was very successful in raising money.

It got really cold as the sun began to set, so we all started shutting everything down. We helped clean up a bit and then said good bye to Vero’s mom. It was a very sad day but it was still fulfilling knowing we could still do something to contribute to Vero one more time.
