TFTI: First Meet Of The Year

We were in the middle of one of the biggest storms in recent years. California was getting bombarded with water for the past days and we were going to keep getting hit.

But there were a few hours where we’d get no rain, and those were the times when we would go out and enjoy that cool California breeze.

TFTI decided to set up their first meet right at the start of the year on a day that the weather was predicted to have no rain. Sadly, when the day approached, rain was all but certain.

They still decided to have the meet up, rain or shine. So Stoner, Saul and I headed down to LA for the meet up. We arrived and the rain had stopped, so we were happy that we weren’t going to get soak.

Regardless, I was happy to shoot even if there was rain.

Unfortunately, mainly photographers showed up. There were just 1 model and 1 cosplayer.

Everyone was waiting around to see whether we were going to get more models or cosplayers, but after about 45 minutes, it got cold and it sprinkled a bit so we decided to call it quits.

I was bummed out that there weren't any more people to photograph, so after I shot the cosplayer, I decided to take some photos of Saul. Saul also took some photos of me.

We used the Sony a7iv and the old DigiCam Canon SD790. The Canon didn’t really take any good photos here. We didn’t have enough light and because we were bored, we didn’t try to experiment with the lighting anyway.

I took a small video and thanked the cosplayer before we walked back to the car and headed home.
