Maryland

I came into the city in the afternoon. Looked for a hotel that was close to the downtown area. Not being familiar with the place, I choose a nice little hotel that was right on the water.

The first thing I noticed was just how humid it was. Everything and everywhere felt humid. Even turning down the AC to a really cold temperature did nothing to better the situation.  But I was not going to let that affect me from exploring.

I came out the hotel through the backside and started taking photos of the boats that were so close to the hotel. No fences to block anyone from going anywhere really made me feel like exploring was going to be stress free.

I headed along the road that divided to small sand areas from the houses and various stores. I was having so much fun exploring when I realized that the sun was finally slowly going down.

I’ve seen many sunsets in my life, from pastel colors to dark reds and oranges but this was something else. It’s really hard to describe how the light was hitting everything but I did my best in capturing it and editing.

Such vibrant reddish violet colors over some blue tones of the man made objects. Everything was amazing.

The blue seemed to stain everything that was in shadow. Painting it with this never ended blue that was only cut by the red sunset or by the florescent lights on some buildings.

The never ended sunset was followed by a never ending blue hour. By the time I reached the end of the road, it was finally getting dark. I went into an area that had several bars outdoors. I grabbed a local beer and headed back to the hotel in the darkness of night.

Maryland is a different world as the day ends.
