Lubbock Texas

There is something to be said about town like this. They are old relics of the past that seem as though they either refused to modernize or maybe the modern world hasn't reached them yet.

Lubbock Texas has a lot of old things. Lots of history here. I think what made the city feel even older was that it rained for the most part. With a heavy thunderstorm coming in on my last day, it was definitely a memorial experience.

I hadn’t taken any decent photos the whole time I was here. With the heavy rain and the whole area just being flat and boring, it really killed my urge to take photos.

Nonetheless I made it my mission to get out there and take photos of the thunder. I knew there would be a small break eventually so I went to a field with a long road and a little house and parked and waited. It took me a lot longer to find this house and long road than actually waiting for the rain to finally stop.

I walked into the field and set up the camera and waited. Within a few minutes thunder began to roar again. Ready with the camera, I began to take photos. One after another I kept capture this intense lightning. Over and over again.

I decided to try to be a little creative and take some photos with a reflection from the water on the floor of the road. I got several shots. I was super happy, and then like a flick of a switch, the rain poured down again.

Made it home safely with some incredible images.
