Kim And Luis

There are some couples that are the ideal definition of cute. My 2 friends happen to be one of them. After dating for years, I finally convinced them to let me take photos of them.

Luis is a pretty outgoing dude, so there was no issue with posing him. Kim is more of an introvert and she likes to keep things to her self. So I figured I’d have to direct her the most.

I’m glad to say that they were both amazing as my models and as a couple. They posed, hugged and kissed without me having to tell them to do so. I had so much fun taking photos of them.

I happen to take one of my favorite photos of all time with them as well.

With the skies being cloudy, I knew there was going to be soft, flat light everywhere, so I decided to bring my flash and softbox to the shoot.

On top of that, I brought the Helio’s and the vintage 50mm 1.4 Canon lens. Both lenses ended up producing the best images of the day. Something about how soft they render skin tones that is simply magical.

I must have maxed out my memory card at nearly 600 photos. My flash died by the last pose, so I knew I had really pushed my time with them. But they are great friends so they kept a smile on the whole time.

This was also the first time I got to discover this side of the university. It’s definitely beautiful.
