Estefania’s Cueitl

The only thing we discussed about this shoot was the location and the outfit.

Estefania wanted to wear her cueitl that she had just made. She painted it and designed it so it was going to be the main focus.

We met up at the Springs Preserve and headed right to shooting after her and her bf paid the entrance fee.

Because of her cueitl and the location, we went with a very nature style shoot. We incorporated cactus, trees and rocks. I had in mind of having the photos be a little desaturated and more brown tones but I ended up also making some very vibrant since she had so much color on her.

After taking several photos, I asked her to take some portraits and then some with her mask. I think they came out looking great. All the images were amazing without editing, so there was not much to do.

The shoot was pretty quick, which was great since it was really hot this day.

We had several people ask about her cueitl and why were doing the shoot. They even asked whether they could take a photo with her. It was a really great experience.
