Corpus Cristi And Cities
This was the fist time I flew into the city. I usually always drive in and drive out within a day or so, but this time I was in the city and its neighboring cities for 3 weeks.
The first half of the trip had a lot of bad weather. Rain most of the day and somewhat clear skies towards the end of the night. It was humid and felt gross.
Corpus is a very old town. A few miles out of the downtown area and all you see is old buildings and lots of grassland. I went out a few times to try to get some photos and I would always get back to the hotel with at least 10 new bug bites.
I was able to get a lot of nice shots of the beaches thought. The colors here are all over the place. From pastel colors to some deep colors, it’s really weird how it’s so inconsistent. But it gave me a good variety of images.
The neighboring cities have that old worn out feel. I don’t think I saw anything built in the recent 10 years. I tried to take as many photos of these old buildings as possible but after a while it was just kind of strange being in these old creepy locations.
Even though the buildings are uniquely old, they are still kind of boring.
I got sunburnt and then spent a lot of time in the pool since these small towns are really boring.
The Selena statue looks really weird. It’s nice that they made something to celebrate her. Besides that, the beach side had a nice little ice cream shop that was packed full of people.
Parking is free though, so that's a plus.
