Baton Rouge, Louisiana
This is one of those cities that feels like a big city, but somehow it still feels small.
It could be because there is a lot of old stuff in the city. From buildings, roads, to sings, it all feels old. Even the trees feel old.
I got a hotel right in the center of the city. I could walk almost anywhere from here.
I explored the capital one night. It was a nice building, but it was so empty. There were only a few cars park around it. The grass areas were big and empty. I took so many nice photos here.
Cars hardly ever passed by in the downtown area. I stood in the middle of the street and took some photos for at least 5 minutes before a car drove by. People must have thought I was crazy.
There seemed to be only a handful of restaurants and they were all packed. I grabbed a seat in one of them pretty fast since I was alone. The food was ok.
I walked for almost 8 hours. There was a few photo shoots going on too. They looked like graduations. The leafs made it perfect for photos shoots around here.
I walked around with a tripod once the sun dipped under the horizon. No one bothered me anywhere I went. I’m so used to having security tell me I can’t take photos in most buildings, but not here. It was nice.
This is probably the downtown where I have taken the most photos. It was refreshing.
