1st Day Of Snow
Most people in SoCal only go to the snow once every few years. It’s one of the many things we take for granted. Most people are an hour away from the snow. Besides taking it for granted, most people always assume that it’s going to be full of people and almost impossible to have a good time.
While this myth is vaguely true, it mainly applies on the holidays. There are some random days when everyone seems to go to the closest mountain, but for the most part, you can always have a great time in the snow.
This year though, my plan was go on the first day of snow.
So while starring at the heavy rain and having a quick snack at 7am, we decided to head up the mountain and see whether there was snow falling on the mountain. To our surprise, there was big fluffy snow all over.
We parked and went into every area we could get into. The sun peaked out a few times and did nothing to warm up our unprotected hands. But we didn’t care. It was so cool to be able to touch and play with fluffy snow.
After a few photos we decided to head down and warm up. We were not prepared for the snow at all.
Regardless of the cold, it’s something I recommend everyone to do at least once in their lives.
