Trixie’s Cosplay

This was a really spontaneous photo shoot that came out really great.

I knew we were going to have a photo shoot, but I wasn't sure how the shoot was going consist of. So I brought all of my gear just to be ready.

I arrived at the location and there were already several photo shoots happening all around. Most of the areas with good lighting were taken so I had to rush to find a decent that I knew I could light up with the equipment I had.

Trixie showed up in a black dress, she said she needed 15 minutes to get ready. We had about 45 minutes of light left, so I was a bit concerned we were going to have to cut the shoot short since this area gets dark real quick.

She changed into her Nezuko Cosplay. The location I had fit perfect for the style as well.

Trixie said she had spent a lot of time practicing her posing to best represent the character. I was really impressed by that. Even more impressed when she told me this was going to be her first photo shoot.

We began by taking few photos in the open. I took off the lens hood on my 85mm lens and let the flares warp the image. I got a lot of really cool shots with the flares.

Once we got in the groove we went to the little area I had secured for us. The flash was set up and we took several photos with the 35mm. The greenery and background looked great with the pink she had on.

Her facial were kind of limited because of what she wanted to go for so we focused more on posing. I switched to the wide angel lens for a while and got a few decent shots, but every shot I took with the 35mm was a lot better.

The sun dropped abruptly and I went from ISO 100 to 1,600 within 10 minutes. So it was time to call it. I showed her a few of the photos and she was so happy. We were the last ones shooting by now so we knew we had to hurry. We said good bye and left our separate ways. There were a lot of people coming in for a football game, so it was a pain getting back to the car with all of my equipment.
