TFTI_LA March 2019
Fighting traffic to Downtown LA is always a pain. But, events like this are always so much fun. A gathering of photographers, videographers and models are always a blast.
I decided to take my new umbrella this time. By using a basic flash and just an umbrella, my setup was extremely light and portable. My good friend Stoner was carrying it around and positioning for me. One of the many benefits of a super light and easy set up but still giving great results.
The biggest issue is finding a good spot to put it for the model. With so many photographer’s circling the model, it can get a bit challenging to find good angles. The models always have such great attitudes and so much patience. It really makes the whole experience so much better.
There weren't as many models this time around. There was however, a lot more vehicle. This is always great because the models get to interact with the cars, and it mixes things up a lot more.
Although I had plenty of time to shoot everyone and even ask a few models to do specific poses, I still felt like I could have done something unique.
While editing this set, I realized that they were coming out a lot like my previous photos from the TFTI sessions. So I decided to play around with black and white a bit.
After about 2 hours of shooting, my crew and I are tired. I promised everyone some beers at the breweries around the corner, so we head over feeling happy for the images and for the upcoming beers.
It’s always a fun experience.
