Political Horseback Parade

These damn politicians do some pretty wild things just to try to get as many votes as they can.

We were all hanging gout in the living room when we hear horses outside. We walk out and people are dropping off horses by the dozens. Someone finally tells us they are going to start a parade at the entrance of our street.

I walked outside with my youngest niece as we head towards the entrance of the street. That's when we noticed there is about 50 horses, 2 bands, a ton of cops and a stage set up.

We walk closer and then we realize it’s the mayor and some one else talking in English asking the Hispanics to vote for them.

Everyone from the nearby clinics were also outside trying to figure out what the hell was all the commotion about. All the girls are flirting with the young men in horses asking them to ride the horses. The grown men tell them that it’s against the rules to do so, but the young men do it anyway. It was pretty funny to see this play out in front of me.

As soon as they start finishing up the speeches, we head back to our house and wait outside. Soon all the cops being to pass and lead the way, then a ton of horses gallop behind them followed by the campaign people and then the band. It was pretty cool to see this. I love me a good pony show.

It was a good 5 minutes for the whole parade to pass my house.

They even picked up their horse poop.
