Kentucky & Ohio
Traveling was never a thing I ever thought about it. The farthest I had ever gone was 4 hours across to the next state. I have traveled up and down California, but never really to another state.
Landing in Ohio was pretty eye opening for me. I realized that California green is nothing compared to a wet state green. The greens here just popped. Granted, it was a cloudy/rainy day and things tend to pop a little more when they’re wet, but even so, the greenery is truly beautiful.
At night I decided to go for a little walk just because there was a break in the clouds. I took some photos in some puddles close to my hotel. Blue hour lasted at least 2 hours here. It’s truly blue hour here.
I was amazed that the Canon 5d mark ii was able to capture the night pretty well. Granted I underexposed on purpose and leaned a little towards the blue hues, but still, the images came out nice.
I tried some moving shots too since light seemed to bounce from anywhere that there was a light source. This wasn't a good scenario for the camera.
I went on a few walks the following days when the skies stopped crying. Found some cool spots, and the greenery still pooped.
The flight back was at night. I decided to try to shoot the wing at a really slow shutter and stay as steady as possible. I had to underexpose to cover up a lot of the noise, but the images were ok.
Kentucky and Ohio were fun, even though it rained 90% of the time I was there.
