Claudia’s Windy Photo Shoot
Claudia is an aspiring model. She is very proud of her heritage and her age. Her main goal is to start a Catrina page to inspire other Hispanics to getting into the Catrina style.
Today though, we were going in the opposite way of a Catrina. With a bright blue colorful dress and the soft colors of the desert, we were striving for that soft yet colorful look.
The only bad thing was that it got extremely windy and since it was just she and I shooting, there was nobody to hold the flash for us, so we had to just use natural light.
Since the sun was diffused by the cloud coverage, and all the dust in the air, we had a lot of time to shoot even before the sun began to set.
Because of that, we got some soft, colorful and bright images. It fit perfectly with her blue dress and the first blue jean dress.
The photos of the dress were just a warm up, so we didn’t shoot too much. They came out looking great too though.
The real magic was when she put on the bright blue dress.
Claus looked and felt amazing moving around in her flowy dress. She said she couldn’t stop dancing in it. That she felt beautiful and happy. And that really showed through the photos I took. She defiantly looked happy.
She moved so much that I had to bump my shutter speed really high and that caused me to shoot at higher ISO’s. Which ended up no mattering as much since there was so much light.
The last part of the shoot only lasted a few minutes. She changed into a black dress and we took some shots. Since the dress was tight and darker, it was more of a calm look, something very drastic from the previous theme, so she got bored pretty quick.
We ended up calling it after that since the wind really picked up and there was sad flying everywhere. We went said goodbyes and went home satisfied with our images.
