Arizona’s Middle Of Nowhere

Arizona is a great state. I see it as red and orange dessert state. The sunsets have this red to them that I don’t see anywhere else.

There is an exit that is really easy to miss while you are driving to Phoenix from California. It has an abandoned gas station on one side and an abandoned wooden building on the other. I always pass this place around noon, but this time I caught it right before the sunset.

I got to see it baked in that orange and red Arizona light. It made everything look so intense and epic. I stayed there until the last bit of light left. As I drove off, I realized how dark it was. I found another exit and ended up pulling over and drove through the unpaved roads until I found decent flat land.

It was incredibly hard to see anything. The perfect conditions to take photos of the night sky. By now it felt really cold, but I was determined to take some photos of the night sky..

To my surprise, I was able to get so many stars. It was beautiful. I ended up getting to Phoenix at 2am that day, but it was well worth it.
