Andrea Ibarra And The Random Park

As random photo shoots goes, this one was probably on the top of the list. We had wanted to take some photos previously but with such busy schedules that had proven to be difficult.

We finally found a day and a 1 hour window to do a quick shoot. Andrea ended up choosing this park because she had been to it once.  She kind of knew the location but wasn’t too sure. Regardless, I thought it would be a nice challenge to find some good spots for the photos.

We had to shoot all natural light since it was somewhat of a hike, and setting up lights was just not an option because of our time constraint.

There were many hills in the park and people were doing their daily walks, so we had to shoot around a few people for some of the areas. We managed to find a cool spot though. I decided to shoot her from below to give her more of a superhero pose.

Andrea was willing to do anything for the shoot, including climbing some trees. Unfortunately, without some flash to light her up and add some contrast, the photos on the trees really didn’t look too flattering.  There was just something flat about the lighting as a whole.

We took a few photos at the top of the hill. They didn’t come out as impressive as I hoped they would. I used a long lens for that, but I think I could have chosen a better angle.
