Ally’s New Hair
Ally is a fellow Las Vegas photographer from a photo group that I found online. She is more of a drone photographer and videographer so she doesn't know too much about portraits and DSLR’s.
I offered to take her portraits whenever she needed to update the photos on her groups website. She had planned to get her hair extensions soon so we planned the shoot.
We met up at this location that had a great little lake. We only had about 30 minutes to take photos so we were in a rush. The first photos we took were in the building so we could get some cool textured backgrounds.
She was a bit shy and had no idea how to pose so it was fun talking her thought the whole process. She is now considering doing a bit of portrait work too.
We walked down towards the lake and took a few more photos. Sadly, the sun was already on the horizon and the light had drastically dropped. But what followed was the real reason why we stopped the shoot. A large amount of flying bugs came out and they were all over the place. Some even got stuck in Ally’s hair.
I put my gear away and Ally took out her drone and flew it around. She showed me how to use it a bit. I declined to actually maneuver it thought. I didn’t want to risk accidentally breaking it.
After the light was completely gone we packed up and walked back to our cars. We made plans to hangout again with her group next time.
I’m really looking forward to that.
