Louisville, Kentucky
Even on a cloudy day, the sun seemed too shiny exceptionally bright here in Louisville Kentucky. With lots of open skies, light seems to pour into this city. It's also amplified by the reflection of the liver that cuts through this city.
It's a real cute city with a lot of unique buildings and houses. Modern architecture is hardly visible anywhere here. It can feel a bit disorienting walking into a McDonald's building that feels like it was originally made for a mom and pop shop back in the 30's.
Houses here are bright and bold as well. You can find yellows, oranges and bright blue houses all over, contributing to the bright feel of the city.
Food here is ok. States like this have their own flavors that I'm not used to. Downtown seems to have better tasting BBQ but I have yet to find something that blown me away.
The best thing for me here was getting to explore the neighborhoods and areas around the lake. People love to gather in all of these places after work. There's playgrounds for the kids, walking and running trails and plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the view, it's clear that for a lot of people in the city, the river is important pass time for them.
I took photos of several bridges every night, also enjoying the sunset with everyone else. Plus, the parking was always free.
