A Hike With The Ladies

As yo get older, the group that you hangout with begins to get into some group habits. Things like where you usually hangout, what you usually eat and drink and the things that you all avoid.

We are all entering a phase were we are trying to be more healthy. Either by going to the gym more often or eating better. One thing that I have began to do though, it go hiking. I usually go hiking alone since hiking can take up a pretty goo portion of the day and all of us work.

To my surprise, some of the girls made plans to go on a hike during the week at mid-day, when it’s the hottest. As soon as I heard about this, I invited myself into their plans. I’m not sure how they felt about this, but they didn’t cus me out and turn me down, so I grabbed my camera and karina and I met up with them at the base of the hike.

My plan was to stay behind them far enough to where I didn’t hear their conversations but still be able to take photos.  It was a solid plan, but somewhere towards the middle of the hike, the sun got exceptionally hot, and my camera got really heavy.

This Canon is just way too big for hikes. I really need to stop thinking it’s a manageable feat. Karina ended up caring my back back for the last part of the hike. She has thick thighs and a strong back, so she was bond to survive.

Yvonne and Kim ended up getting winded too, so we took a few breaks. Although Kim was probably the fittest one of us all. I ended up taking just a handful of photos and I don’t think they were as amazing as I intended them to be.

Karina would make fun of me saying I couldn’t hang with the girls. She had a point today.

Lesson learned…Hopefully
